Founded in 2021, The Milk Parlour is no ordinary scoop shop – it’s an Ice Cream Lab, crafting incredible small-batch ice cream using milk from Northern Ireland’s only local pedigree Dairy Shorthorn herd. The milk is sustainably sourced from the Barr family at Tannybrake Farm, just a short distance away. When fresh milk and cream run low, they simply call the farm – and within hours, it’s churned into deliciously fresh ice cream. That’s the secret to the flavour.
Expect all the classics, plus plenty of creative surprises. Flavours might include White Chocolate & Amarena Cherry, Captain Morgan’s Rum & Raisin, Salted Caramel Brownie, Tiramisu, Rhubarb & Clementine Gelato, Mint Cookie Crisp, Lemon & Blueberry Ripple, and even adventurous options like Smashed Avocado on Cinnamon Toast. There’s truly something for every taste, alongside indulgent sundaes, waffles, milkshakes, and hot drinks.
There’s plenty for non-dairy visitors too. The Milk Parlour regularly serves dairy-free sorbets, and their popular Biscoff Ice Cream is vegan, made with Minor Figures oat milk. They also love collaborating with local producers, creating special flavours such as Clandeboye Estate frozen yoghurt ripples and ice cream infused with Suki Tea.
