Step inside Glenarm Castle’s enchanting 18th-century Walled Garden and discover a tranquil haven lovingly restored over the past two decades by Lord and Lady Antrim.

Once the heart of the estate’s homegrown produce, this award-winning four-acre garden now bursts with vibrant seasonal colour, captivating water features, and beautifully curated herbaceous borders. Whether you choose to wander at your own pace or join our Head Gardener for an insightful guided tour, each visit promises a journey through history, horticulture, and breathtaking natural beauty. Fully accessible and open to all, the Walled Garden invites every visitor to relax, explore, and experience the timeless charm of one of Northern Ireland’s most treasured landscapes.

At the top of our Walled Garden lies the Woodland Walk, a calming green landscape, ideal for a peaceful stroll and the opportunity to bask in the panoramic views across the estate.

You can enter the walled garden, woodland walk and heritage centre between 10am and 5pm on the day of your visit. Last admission to the walled garden is at 4:15pm.

In addition to this you can also visit our Walled Garden Tea Room, a wide variety of independent retailers, other onsite eateries and our woodland adventure playpark. These areas do not require a ticket.

Although Glenarm Castle is a private home, we are delighted to welcome visitors for guided tours on selected dates throughout the year. To view the next available castle tour date and purchase tickets, please click here.

Car Parking

To ensure that all of our visitor facilities continue to be maintained to the highest possible standard, we will be introducing a small hourly car parking charge from 17^th March until 31st October each year.

We are delighted to confirm that free car parking will continue to be available to all Glenarm Castle Members as part of their membership benefits.

Complimentary parking will also remain available for visitors purchasing tickets to the Walled Garden & Woodland Walk, Heritage Centre, Castle Tours, and the Mini Land Rover Experience.

Walled Garden, Woodland Walk & Heritage Centre Admission Ticket

Come and explore our beautiful and historic Walled Garden, recent winner of the Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award.

Originally created in the 1820s, in recent years the Walled Garden has been fully re-imagined, re-designed and restored by Lord and Lady Antrim to create a garden full of colour, scent and beauty.

Our lovely Woodland Walk provides the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs on the Glenarm Estate. Accessed through the top of the Walled Garden here you can enjoy a peaceful haven for red squirrels, robins, rabbits, and a whole host of other birds and wildlife.

Included with your garden ticket is access to the Antrim McDonnell Heritage Centre. In our Heritage Centre you can discover the rollercoaster story of the Earls of Antrim, one that is full of adventure and intrigue.
