A visit to Glenarm Castle isn’t complete without something sweet from The Milk Parlour, located within the estate along the iconic Causeway Coastal Route. Whether you’re enjoying a sunny day treat at the Pavilion or picking up a family favourite to take home, this is ice cream worth making a stop for.
Founded in 2021, The Milk Parlour is more than just an ice cream shop – it’s an Ice Cream Lab, creating delicious small-batch ice cream using fresh milk from Grove Dairy, a local family-run dairy farm in Northern Ireland. Fresh milk and cream are delivered locally and transformed into ice cream in small batches, helping create the fresh, rich flavour The Milk Parlour is known for.
Expect all the classics alongside plenty of creative flavour combinations. Favourites can include White Chocolate & Amarena Cherry, Salted Caramel Brownie, Cookie Dough and Kinder Bueno, alongside more adventurous creations such as Twister. There’s something for every taste, with indulgent sundaes, waffles, milkshakes, hot drinks and treats from local producers, such as banana bread from local bakery Barn Door.
There’s plenty for non-dairy visitors too, with a selection of dairy-free sorbets and vegan favourites such as Biscoff Ice Cream, made with oat milk. The Milk Parlour also loves collaborating with local producers to create unique flavours and seasonal specials.
And don’t miss the famous ice cream sliders – packed with delicious ice cream and your choice of toppings and sauces. Everything is made fresh in small batches, so when it’s gone, it’s gone!
The Milk Parlour is open daily for takeaway – just follow the herd and taste the difference.
