Woodland Walk
We are delighted to be adding a new element to your garden visit with our Woodland Walk which will be a scenic extension to the Walled Garden. A hot spot for red squirrels, robins, rabbits, and a whole host of other birds and wildlife. Here you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view over the Walled Garden and Glenarm Castle’s park where you might also see our award-winning herd of Shorthorn cows grazing. Specimen camellias and rhododendrons can be seen here in spring, as well as carpets of white wild garlic flowers, while in the autumn you can enjoy our growing collection of acre (maple) trees in all their rich autumn hues.
The Woodland Walk provides the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs on the Glenarm Castle Estate.
We are delighted to introduce Percy the Park Keeper to the Woodland Walk. Created by Nick Butterworth, Percy helps look after the Woodland Walk along with all his friends. You might even spot them along the way. Kids can enjoy the Percy the Park Keeper trail from the book ‘One Springy Day’.
The Woodland Walk is open Monday to Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm, with the last admission at 4:30pm.
Seasonal changes to opening hours apply, please check before visiting.
Activity Books can be collected from the Welcome Centre and Admissions Kiosk. Please help us protect the environment by disposing of your booklets and pencils in the bins provided.
